Summary
According to Homer, approximately 3200 years ago (in 1180 BC), flames lit up the city of Troy, symbolizing the win of the Greeks and the triumph of the unrivaled hero, Ulysses. With his quest ended, little did he know that his journey hadn’t even started yet. In the following 10 years, the king of Ithaca would encounter several obstacles while sailing through Greece’s main seas, such as angry storms, fighting Cyclops, resisting the witch Circe’s magic as well as the sirens and many more. The powerful determination to return home after rightfully completing his mission is what keeps Ulysses alive in our minds as a symbol of resilience and perseverance, as well as what bounded us to use his name for a glorious and one-of-a-kind project which will continue his legacy: The Ulysses Space Settlement.
